Brown Sugar Glazed Carrots: (Recipe adapted from Everyday Food)
Printable Recipe HERE
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 lbs. carrots (I use baby carrots)
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 Tbsp. light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. dried rosemary
- 1-1/4 cup water
- salt and pepper
Directions:
1) In a large pan, place carrots, butter, sugar, and rosemary.
2) Add 1 1/4 cup water and season with salt and pepper.Bring to a boil.
3) Reduce to a simmer and cook until carrots are tender, 10 to 12 minutes. (If water evaporates before carrots are tender, add 1/4 cup more). 4) Continue to cook, stirring frequently, until liquid is reduced to a glaze, 1 to 2 minutes more. Serve with your favorite meal. ENJOY!!

Love to find other healthy food sites. Saw your recipe on Inside BruCrew. Would love for you to share on Thursday's Treasures http://fooddonelight.com/thursdays-treasures-2/
We make a similar recipe for carrots - we steam, then add butter and brown sugar. Our whole family loves it so much we all refuse to eat carrots any other way :)
I will have to try adding the rosemary, that sounds so refreshing!!
