When I was a kid, I remember sitting down with my grandpa and drinking a cold glass of buttermilk.
I kid you not. He would drink buttermilk. PLAIN. In a tall, striped glass with ice. That’s just how he rolled. And because he was my favorite, I rolled that way too. Have you ever had a glass of buttermilk? Yeah, let’s not go there.
However, I do love baking and cooking with buttermilk. I always buy the brand of buttermilk that has the California Dairy logo on the carton. (Gotta support my local farmers!)
