This was a great recipe, it took me longer to cook in the oven but turned out gooey, and very spongy and moist (the texture i wanted!). However it didn't have a rich chocolatey flavour I wanted, I think I put too much water because my cocoa is a great brand.

Overall easy to follow and good recipe but I may put less water because mine came out with a very water down taste.

Vanilla ice cream and chocolate cake? A definite to-die-for! If you can’t decide between ice cream and cake for dessert, then this combination will give you the best of both worlds. I also tried using strawberry ice cream and it’s just heavenly. It’s really amazing how simple ingredients like these can whip out such a mouthwatering cake.

I made this cake to take to a gathering. I was looking for an easy recipe for chocolate cake. This was easy and delicious. Very moist. I did get compliments.

I think it will also be easy to make variations of this cake. Like make a caramel drizzle or add orange zest to the batter.
