This looks wonderful! Love all the flavors in it. I wanted to use some of the more interesting ingredients too, but in the end I always choose stuff that I already have on hand. Maybe next time :)

I've never used matcha powder or prickly pear either -- the cardamom was out of my norm so I found a way to use that. I love the stuff! This chili looks delicious, and I'd love to sit back with a big bowl of this very soon!

I would have been intimidated by prickly pear as well. What in the heck would you do with it? It's a cactus , right? When I lived in TX the mexican restaurants served it in place of green bell peppers with fajitas. It was pretty good actually.
I love my crock pot also, so this stew is a true winner. There's nothing like a slow cooked warm and hearty stew for gloomy days. Pinned!
