Slow Cooker Peach Oatmeal

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup dry old-fashioned oats
  • 1 cup diced Del MonteĀ® Sliced Yellow Cling Peaches in Light Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. light butter spread
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, lightly mix all the ingredients together.
  • Spray the slow cooker with cooking spray. Pour oatmeal mixture into slow cooker and place lid on top. Set for low 4 hours. (See note below!)
  • The oats will be soft when finished.
  • To serve, pour milk over the top. Enjoy!

Notes

The cooking time really depends on your slow cooker! I've made this oatmeal several times and have put it on all different cook times. I've made it on low for 8 hours - right before I went to bed and eaten it as soon as I got up. I've made it on high for 2 hours and it's been cooked perfectly! The key is to know your slow cooker and watch it to see if it's done.
