Need an easy side dish? This bacon brussels sprouts recipe is the way to go! They're fancy enough to serve as a side dish at a party but quick & easy enough to be added in with a weeknight meal.

Bacon Brussels Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 3 slices bacon
  • 4 green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 lb. brussels sprouts halved if large
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice

Instructions

  • In a medium sized pot, cook 3 slices of bacon over medium heat. When browned and crispy, pull bacon out and set aside.
  • In remaining bacon grease, add green onions, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until softened. Be careful not to burn!
  • Then add the brussels sprouts and 1/3 cup water. Cover on medium heat, until sprouts are tender.
  • Add lemon juice to sprouts and top with crumbled bacon. Toss and serve. Enjoy!
