World's Best Fudgy Brownies

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 3 Tbsp. softened butter
  • 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1 Tbsp. honey
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. milk


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray an 8x8 inch pan with cooking spray.
  • In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter OR melt in a large microwave safe bowl in microwave. Remove from heat and stir in sugar, eggs and 1 tsp. vanilla with wooden spoon. Stir in 1/3 cup cocoa, 1/2 cup flour, salt and baking powder. Spread in bottom of baking dish.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 25-30 minutes. Do NOT overbake! (I usually pull out of the oven at 25 minutes because we like them really fudgy!)
  • For frosting: combine 3 Tbsp. softened butter, 3 Tbsp. cocoa powder, honey, 1 tsp. vanilla, powdered sugar and milk. Spread on brownies while still warm. Let set until cool and then cut into bars and serve. ENJOY!!
