Wow. I don’t usually like mug cakes, but I needed a little something sweet one night. I was looking for a quick coffee cake recipe and I knew I had Bisquick but I didn’t really want to make a whole cake. I stumbled upon this and it is great!

Easy and delicious! I was in a hurry and forgot to spray oil my mug but I figured with the oil, it’s not going to stick anyway … and it didn’t. I used Crisco oil and regular sugar and powdered milk.

This was so delicious! Coffee cake was one of my dad’s favorites and every holiday after he passed I made it for my family to enjoy and honor his memory. This past year I learned I had a gluten allergy and couldn’t have it with everyone else. But I found your mug cake recipe and tried it with gluten free Bisquick, it’s so good! Now I can enjoy Dad’s favorite dessert along with my family again. Didn’t mean to put such a heavy story in the comments but I wanted you to know how much this recipe brings me. Thank you!

I made this tonight – I was hungry so I doubled it in a big soup mug.
I didn’t have coconut oil, but I added some melted butter on top of the swirl, and a couple fillips of sour cream in the batter. Really yummy!

This is the best mug cake I’ve ever had! Every other one I’ve tried was too dense or just tasted awful. Not this one, it’s delicious and totally satisfied my cake craving.
