Flourless Chocolate Cake

  • 1 15-oz can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/3 cup applesauce
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 cup + 2 Tbsp. Truvia Baking Blend
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • powdered sugar for topping


  • Preheat oven to 350ºF. Spray a 9" cake round with cooking spray and set aside.
  • Melt chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl for about 1 1/2 - 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds.
  • In a food processor, blend up garbanzo beans. Add in melted chocolate chips and blend together.
  • Add in eggs, applesauce, baking powder, Truvia, vanilla, salt and blend until smooth and completely combined.
  • Pour into prepared pan and bake for 40 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool, slice and serve with powdered sugar.


*can use 3/4 cup sugar in place of Truvia but the nutrition facts will change
