The BEST Steak Marinade

We bought a new grill about 6 months ago and we literally grill at least twice a week now! I say we, but really my husband does all the work. It's great! Total team work. He grills the meat and usually corn, while I prepare side dishes and dessert. He's awesome at it too. Grill Master Cory. That guy can take any meat, any cut, and grill to perfection. I usually don't "mess with his meat" (ha!) but I decided to add a marinade to our ribeyes last week. Um, ribeyes rock. My favorite steak above all. Anyway, my hubs was definitely a little unsure about the marinade. I had to reassure him a few times that it would be tasty.

Ooooooh boy. Was it TASTY! I'm talking, soft, decadently flavored beef that melts in your mouth. It was so tender and juicy! The hubs was definitely in shock about how amazing it tasted. Pretty sure he thought it was his Grill Master skills but boy, that marinade rocked!

THE BEST STEAK MARINADE:
Ingredients:
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp. dried basil
  • 1 Tbsp. steak seasoning
  • 3-4 lbs of your favorite steak (mine is ribeye!)
Directions:
1) Mix ingredients soy sauce thru steak seasoning in a large Ziploc bag. Add your meat and marinate for 4 hours.

2) Grill your steaks to desired level of doneness. :) Enjoy!

Your steak marinade sounds much like the marinade I use. I have never added lime juice before. I will have to give it a try! Great post.

This sounds delicious.... my hubby is a grill man, too. I think they believe they have to be able to grill to keep their man card, maybe?! lol! Anyway, I'll have to try this! Thanks for the link!

That steak marinade sounds really mouth-watering! I’ve never really thought of using Worcestershire WITH the marinade, as in BEFORE the cooking of the steak. I usually prefer to drizzle it on the cooked steak. I think I’ll try out your recipe and add it to the marinade. That should give it a nice tangy, smoky flavor.
