This Asian Marinated Flank Steak has few ingredients but tastes AMAZING!! Super simple and doesn’t take long to cook, but is flavorful, juicy and tender.
I survived my first week of school!! Or rather, my kids survived their first week of school . Or maybe we both survived it?? Ha!
I hate having a new schedule to remember. I’m not good with change. In fact, I’m a huge baby with change. I like my little bubble comfort zone and I rarely stray from it. Unless it’s a new school year and I’m forced to. 🙂
Something else not in my comfort zone? Beef. Steak. I have to admit that I’m not super confident on the grill and I don’t know how else to cook beef really. Sometimes I’ll put it in the crock pot but I feel like beef is more of a grill meat. I have a hard time knowing when it’s cooked enough and am sort of borderline OCD about flipping it over a million times and poking it with a knife, etc. which is not cool when you’re grilling. 😉
But I recently got an email from a sweet reader, Katerina, asking specifically for a recipe using beef, not ground beef but steak meat. So I put on my big girl panties and got outside of that comfort zone bubble and made this marinated flank steak.
Now, I will say that my awesome hubby grilled this but it is SO easy to do. Even I can do it! It doesn’t take long because it’s a flank steak and they’re thin so they cook quickly. The flavors in this are to-die-for. Do you see the juices coming from the steak in the pictures? I had to constantly wipe with a paper towel while I was taking these pictures because it had so much juice in the steak. It’s the most tender, flavorful, amazing tasting beef I’ve had in a long while.
I’m glad I was able to step out of my comfort zone. It was worth it. 🙂
