This Chocolate Protein Green Smoothie combines the filling power of protein powder and almonds + the health benefits from the green smoothie! This smoothie makes a great breakfast, snack or post-workout drink and tastes delicious!
A couple years ago, my husband and I invested in a Vitamix blender. We got on this huge smoothie kick for a good six months or more. And then all of the sudden, I got bored and totally sick to death of smoothies, especially green smoothies. Like, couldn’t even stand them.
So there our precious little blender sat, on the cupboard gathering dust until the New Year when my husband and I decided we needed to start making smoothies again! 😉 Now I’m trying hard to rotate out the recipes so I don’t get totally burned out on them.
After I work out, I need to have protein in order to keep me satisfied until my next meal and I’m also trying to eat more green veggies. This Protein Green Smoothie is the best of both world’s because you get the filling benefits of protein powder and the health benefits from the green smoothie part (spinach!). Plus it tastes delicious! What’s your favorite green smoothie recipe?

Jen, I am anxious to try your Chocolate Protein Green Smoothie, as well as other Green Smoothie recipes that you posted.
Can you tell me which Chocolate Protein powder you have found to your liking? As you know, some of them are not very good tasting.
I have been a follower of your blog for a long time.
Hi Joyce!! I love to buy the big bags of 100% whey protein at Costco. Here’s a link to the one I like: http://amzn.to/2j7bgbl (affiliate link). It actually tastes pretty good!
