Creamy Citrus Fruit Dip | creamy fruit dip with a touch of three different citrus fruits to give it the yummiest flavor – everyone will love this fruit dip!Being a food blogger is hard sometimes. I love food and I love eating. So naturally, when I make new treats and things, I want to eat all of them!
I recently bought this darling red bikini online. I was super excited about it because I haven’t bought a swimsuit in two or three years. I usually wear an old one or something and they’re all getting worn out. I’m heading to MIAMI next month for the BlogHer Food Conference and want a super cute swim suit to lay out with!
So anyway, I got this bikini in the mail yesterday. My husband, who’s off work on vacation this week, was anxious to see it on me (haha!). So I tried it on and the top fit perfectly. The bottoms however, not as comfy. Nothing like a good muffin top to ruin your day! 😉
So I’m in a dilemma. Do I return/exchange the small size for one size up or do I keep them and diet my little pants off to fit into them?
I’m choosing the latter. 😉
I work out most days of the week so the only thing to really change up, is my eating. I despise dieting. I used to be really super thin before I had my last two boys and looking back, I remember being unhappy because there was no choice or freedom with it.
It was 1/2 cup of cottage cheese, measured out with 6 raw almonds for a snack. 3 egg whites for breakfast…etc. Blah. Boring. You know what I mean? Everything methodically counted and measured. I need variety and sustenance! And I do eat pretty darn healthy usually so I think I’m just going to start with eating more fruits and vegetables.
While I like plain ‘ol raw fruit, sometimes it helps me to eat a little something sweet with it for a treat. At nighttime when I want a bowl of ice cream, instead I’ll cut up an apple and eat that with a little bit of this dip and it takes care of that sweet craving with a whole lot less calories.
This fruit dip is probably my favorite dip next to my mom’s yogurt dip I make a lot. It’s light, creamy and has this amazing citrus flavor that screams summertime. And it really does help me eat more fruit.
I used light cream cheese, fat free Cool Whip and low fat yogurt to make it a bit healthier. It’s absolutely delicious!
How do you get swimsuit ready for summertime?

If you want more dips, you’ll love these too!
It IS hard not to eat everything you create! Love this dip! Sounds refreshing with all of the citrus in it!
Thanks Jen. You still look beautiful. I just got a muffin top too and I too hate it. We’ll get rid of it.
We had fruit dip tonight! My sister tried to balance out our unhealthy meal (Crawfish Fettuccine and Stuffed Pistolettes) with a veggie tray and fruit with fruit dip. My kids love fruit so they will love this dip with it!
Mmmm, creamy fruit dips are addictive ! I can’t stop dipping 🙂 Oh girl, do we have to talk about swimsuit season ? Can we just talk annoy bowls and bowls of fruit and dip?? I was encouraged by your honesty and that the key isn’t restricting, but making wise choices. Thanks for sharing! Pinned!
Nothing like a bathing suit bottom to make things look worse than they are! Love this dip though – I JUST said to someone this week that I had no good fruit dips in my recipe repertoire so I’m bringing a fruit platter to a party tonight without dip…maybe I have time to change that yet!
I can’t even begin to think about swimsuits! Because we’ve had the never-ending winter, I’m not sure my swimwear will be seeing the sun this year at all! In fact, we are on our way to lacrosse games today, and we all have on our under armor warm gear. We had snow flurries yesterday morning. So no … no swimsuits yet! 🙂
But … I usually amp up my runs a little and do exactly what you’re doing – more fruits and veggies! We eat tons of fruits and veggies all year, but spring and summer bring new and delicious options! And who doesn’t love a great dip!?! YUM!
Fruit Dip is one of the ways I encourage my kiddos to make healthier choices! Love this, Jen! Pinned!
Ha! Love your story…..and I can totally relate! For now, I can blame it on the baby 🙂 After the baby, though, I’ll be in the exact same boat!!
Wait. Did I miss the memo we need a bikini for BHF?! I’m screwed! I better diet my big girl pants off 🙂 These is the perfect treat when you need something lighter!
