So the other day, I was sitting in the waiting room at the orthodontist office as my eight-year old son had some kind of contraption put in his mouth. Poor guy. The best part of those long appointments, is the magazines. They always have a spread of good ones.
Anyway, as I was reading a Parents Magazine, I spotted a fun little recipe for Jolly Rancher lollipops. How cute are these?! Although I’m sure our orthodontist would kill me for this…I knew I had to try them. My boys LOVE Jolly Ranchers. They’re super simple to make and taste so yummy!

Ingredients
- Jolly Rancher hard candies
- Lollipop sticks
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 275 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet with foil and then top with parchment paper.
- Place three or four Jolly Rancher hard candies side by side the baking sheet (as below). Make sure to leave room for lollipop sticks!
- Bake for about 6 minutes. Remove the pan from oven and immediately place the stick into the candy, rolling a bit to ensure a good bond.
- Let the candy cool and then easily peel it off the parchment and ENJOY!!

I love how you can put together whatever color & flavor combos you like!
My oldest son was super excited about the lollipops and wanted to help me take all the pictures. (In fact, he took a few of the pictures on this post! Future photographer?!!) Anyway, I made him model for me. 😉 These were his two favorite pictures:

How fun and easy! You could combine specific colors for certain themes. Thanks!
My one daughter loves lemon heads. Can I do the same with them as jolly ranchers?
I’ve never tried it with lemon heads! It would be delicious if it did work!
I love these, can’t wait to try with my young grandsons. I want to make some with them so they can take them to school for an Easter treat. I already have some really sweat sip lock plastic bags to put them in. My question is, are sticky, will they stick to plastic bag without some kind of wrapper on them. I will be following your site.
Hi Wanda! Yes, they are a little sticky. I would put a little bit of plastic wrap around each one before placing in the plastic bag. You can even make it cute by tying the plastic wrap up with a cute ribbon or something! I hope you try them and the grandsons like them!
