This is a fun Halloween snack mix that combines Golden Grahams, Vanilla Chex, coconut, almonds and candy corn with a yummy, gooey coating to glue it all together. It’s a family favorite!
I leave for Miami tomorrow!!! My husband has a work conference and I’m tagging along! I’ve never been to Florida before and I’ll be gone for four days. My mom is flying over tonight to watch my boys for the entire weekend. Isn’t she nice?!
I’m nervous about leaving my boys. I’ve never been away from them for that long, being so far away. I’m sure everything will be fine, but it’s amazing how much preparing and planning that goes on before you leave. I still have so much to do!
But FOUR days of alone time? What this means to me: uninterrupted computer time, eating time, bathroom time, sleeping in, watching television shows besides Team Umizoomi and Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, alone time with the hubs… just thinking about it puts a huge smile on my face! I love my boys with all my heart, but it’s good to get a break once in awhile. Sometimes we need to miss them, right?!
In honor of my trip (ha!) I wanted to share with you this amazing treat. This cereal mix has been a family favorite for a long time. My sister makes it for every holiday get together. I’ve actually shared it twice before on here, changing it a bit every time. This time I changed it to make it Halloween friendly.
Honestly, with the candy corn, I think this is my favorite way! The candy corns have a nice texture and subtle sweetness that goes perfectly in this mix! If you haven’t tried this cereal mix before, I strongly suggest getting to it RIGHT NOW! This stuff is good!
Candy Corn Cereal Snack Mix

- 1/2 cup butter
- 1-1/2 cups candy corn
Instructions
- Mix cereals, coconut and almonds in a large mixing bowl.

Woohoo for alone time! I wish I had more or any of that. I probably sit down with a treat like this and end up eating it all if I did though!
